What it is
Burial Beer Co. in Asheville, NC has a new Double IPA called You Would Like Me Much More In Person. It's 12% ABV, and its label was approved Oct 1, 2026.
Twelve percent is a lot of beer. I'd call it a statement, and the name seems to agree.
What the label tells us
The package is a can. The hop list runs long: Galaxy, Nelson, Nectaron, Cryo, Hop Kief and Liquid Lupulin.
The label's copy is a short monologue, and it ends on the brewing. The label says the beer is "Quadruple dry-hopped with Galaxy, Nelson, Nectaron" along with a "tightly guarded blend" of the other three. It also name-checks Monkish, which I read as a collaboration or at least a nod, though the label doesn't spell out which.
No art description came with this label, so I'll say nothing about the artwork.
When you might see it
It's already been spotted. The beer turned up on Burial Beer Co.'s beer list on Oct 5, 2026, four days after the label was approved.
That's quicker than usual for this brewery. Its past beers were spotted a median of 12 days after their labels were approved, a figure drawn from 21 beers.
What we don't know yet
I don't have a price, and I don't have an announced release date. Where it will be sold beyond the brewery's own beer list is also open, as are can sizes and how it tastes. Nobody here has tried it.
